Family Visits

A powerful and inspiring morning, spent visiting 3 of the Beca Project families. These families lead such marginalized lives and the parents (there but for fortune go the rest of us) struggle every day to provide sufficient food and clothing for their families. For most of them, continued education and therefore hope for a different future for their children would be out of reach without outside help. I’ve chosen a few of the photos from this morning’s visits to post here.

With the girl Mike and I sponsor, Andrea, and her mother.

Looking at Andrea's art work.

Andreas's kitten.

Showing my photos from home to Rosemary and her mother. Rosemary is sponsored by our daughter Mariah and her husband, Greg.

Looking at photos with Jose Antonio and his family. Jose Antonio is sponsored by Sharon Paz of The Dalles.

Here I am talking with Jose Antonio about his grades. All 3 kids received good grades on Friday; the school year is half over.

This is a carving/painting Jose Antonio made in Industrial Arts".

I'll visit 3 more families tomorrow. HAPPY TRAILS!
