Cooking Lesson

This morning a wonderful woman named Irma met us at the school and walked us to the director’s lovely house for a cooking lesson. We talked about our options, decided to make guacamole and pozole - a traditional Mexican soup - and wrote down the recipes in Spanish as Irma dictated them.

With shopping lists in hand we headed to the market to shop for the ingredients.

Back at the house an hour later, we sanitized, chopped, boiled, simmered, shredded, combined, and eventually ate one of the tastiest meals I’ve ever helped cook. HAPPY TRAILS!
